This morning the island woke up to a beautiful coating of white. While most of us are ready for milder weather, myself included, it really was a picturesque scene outside the window.
Although it has been spring for less than a week, the images around town brought flashbacks of Christmas. It was the perfect day to cuddle up with a blanket and a mug of cocoa!
I wasn't the only crazy beach bum. There were other footprints in the snow when I got there. Sure enough there were dogs playing and owners dutifully, following along.
The temperature was a cold 32 degrees, but the sunshine was so strong that the snow quickly melted from the roads and rooftops.
Even the kids were happy that they didn't have another snow day. It was fun for a while, but they too are ready for a change in the seasons. No one wants to put off summer vacation another day!
I'm sure many of you would be content looking out at this scene from one of those tall buildings! It won't be long until this beach is lined with sunbathers and surfers!
